This is another game I struggle with for some reason.  Not the knowledge part, but the game itself.  Knowing that there are kids out there much more game smart than I am, I’m posting this one.  It’s a little science review with a swimming pool and a slide.  Don’t ask me.  Just try it yourself.  It’s a little tough, so I’d think middle school and up.

My only problem with it is that it moves a little quickly. I’ve put kids in pairs at the computer so they can help each other stay caught up. Also, using the DNA Replication site we have listed before you do this will help some.
My kids also have trouble trying to figure out which organism the DNA belongs to. That seems like a minor part of the game to them after trying to keep up the pace during replication.

It’s designed like a cooking show and you have to choose the recipe, mix the ingredients, then cut out the “cookies.” It’s a race against time as well, which I didn’t realize the first time I did it.

The idea is to protect the sharks while they travel to a safe place where they can live and eat in peace. Teaches about the sharks and the dangers they face in a world that fears them.

It’s about locations on earth where we’re learning about our origins as a planet. I’ve listed it under earth and life science for now. It helps to incorporate some geography skills in with the science, which is always nice.

Would work really well if you did this before using the DNA – The Double Helix listed. The Double Helix game moves a little quickly and practicing matching the rungs would be good. Otherwise, its gets a little crazy and the kids get frustrated.
