Pioneer Middle School Virtual Zoo

Pioneer Middle School Virtual Zoo Site developed by a middle school in California with a nice little selection of animals. Gives the classification breakdown for each organism. Written by kids so it’s very student friendly. If you click on the Zoo Information link, you’ll find taxonomy, activity sheets and some other links. Well done!

Exploratorium Microscope Imaging Station

Exploratorium Microscope Imaging Station Nice site with some activities listed to use along with the videos. I used the planarian video to talk about cell differentiation. Worked very well. So did the stem cell video. Watching the heart cells beat under the microscope was very interesting.
