Found by accident, this is a great resource from University of North Texas.  Too many good things to mention here.  Powerpoints, animations, games, lesson plans.  I haven’t used them yet, but sure have found enough to make me smile.

Alright, another site I haven’t sifted through yet, but one I definitely need to work through.  Great bunch of resources.  I’ve done some of the games as well and they seem pretty good.

I really haven’t had time to sort through this site, but hope to be able to before long.  There are videos, lesson plans, stuff I wish I’d had when I was teaching this topic!  Hate it when that happens!

I’ve lost this link, not once but TWICE!  Spent 30 minutes already this morning trying to locate it yet again.  Didn’t have it listed on here, but on my school website.  And I have no idea WHY, since it’s my favorite site to use.

One of the things that kids ask often when studying the interior of Earth is “How do they know that?”  This site explains how we know what goes on inside Earth in pretty easy-to-follow terms.

Neat lesson plan for seafloor spreading.

This is another game I struggle with for some reason.  Not the knowledge part, but the game itself.  Knowing that there are kids out there much more game smart than I am, I’m posting this one.  It’s a little science review with a swimming pool and a slide.  Don’t ask me.  Just try it yourself.  It’s a little tough, so I’d think middle school and up.

This is a game about how scientists should dress for different jobs.  I wasn’t going to list it, but I thought it went well with science introduction, scientific method, etc.  And I liked playing it.

This one will take you a while, though it’s rather fascinating.  I think it will save your game for you.  It’s a superhero game.  Really fun, but a little time consuming.

Now this was fun.  Go to different biomes and take pictures of the plants and animals that belong there.  Answer a question about them for more points.  Rather cool.

Well, this one isn’t all science.  In fact, it’s more medicine and history.  You’re a doctor in 1814, trying to save soldiers on a Napoleonic battlefield.  You have to make a diagnosis, figure out who to take to the hospital, how to treat them.  I didn’t do well.  I don’t think I should be a doctor.  I can hear the malpractice insurance running up big numbers.
