Probably not. The more likely theories involve a massive amount of particles becoming airborne and causing climate change due to blocking sunlight. Those theories are typically either a couple of supervolcanoes, a large number (possibly thousands) of smaller volcanoes, or a huge meteor/asteroid impact. There’s been some speculation that competition with mammals may have had something to do with it, but that doesn’t seem likely.
